MOBILOCO’s Buddy Alert
offers it’s users the opportunity to locate their friends via
mobile phones. Just one SMS or two clicks on their WAP-Browser and
users know, which of their friends are nearby. Both friends will instantly
be notified and can get in touch with each other easily via call,
SMS or mail.

| The administration of the Buddy Alert
is either be done online or by mobile. To use the service it
is required that both friends are registered at MOBILOCO and
hence have given the approval to the cellular operator to provide
MOBILOCO with the user's location data. Both sides have to approve
their acceptance, before using the service together. |

MOBILOCO follows a very strict privacy
policy. Whenever a proximity message is sent, it is always sent
to both friends at the same time. The system informs about the
proximity of a friend, but never tells where exactly the other
person is. In case a subscriber wants to become invisible for
MOBILOCO or single buddies, she/he can simply deactivate the
system. |

| In the registration process each subscriber has
to define the friends about whom she/he wants to be informed.
MOBILOCO will inform these friends about the service on behalf
of the new subscribers and invite them to register. |
